If you could only pick 1 trail to fish which would it be? Why?
If you already fish in the one you’d choose, what’s so great about it? Trying to decide for next year which one I want to do. I need to get out learn some new lakes and water.

following as I am trying to find a Individual trail to qualify next year.... If I had to guess it would either be
Texas Team Trail
Team Bass
Bass Champs
Media Bass
or the one I am looking at is joining a club in your area that is associated with FLW or Bass in my case East Texas Bass Association... Actually gonna start fishing with these guys next month.

Basschamps
20k for first place at every tournament, by far the highest drawing tournament trail in Texas that has regional divisions so you don’t have any tournaments 4+ hours away. They run a great show, weigh ins are as smooth as can be, and overall dealing with anyone on the Basschamps staff has been awesome. Chad, Jeff, David, and the whole Basschamps crew are top notch. Also some of the toughest competition around, if you wanna know where you stack up against the best in our area this is the trail for you.

Texas Team Trail will be my choice next year, I like the early entry with ability to prefish the day before and the folks running it seem to be a little nicer.

For us it will be TTT. I have fished BC for years and they run a top notch Trail. The TTT payout is just as good. The TTT field is as strong as you will ever fish against. So really the only reason we will continue to fish TTT is because there are less boats. You start getting around 250 to 300+ boats in a Tournament for me is a little much.

This for all of the same reasons.

For this crowd, you are probably gonna get 2 choices and both have already been mentioned (TTT, BassChamps)
Both are run by great teams and both do a great job. The only difference is BC tends to be a bit more Regional and allows anglers to stay relatively close to home when choosing a region to fish. TTT, on the other hand, tends to lend itself more to travelling around the state and getting people out of their "comfort" zones a bit more by fishing places they may not normally fish.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

ABA Opens Series. I have no idea why more don't fish it. Very well run. Good payout($5k guarantee to 1st place boater with 60 boats). Good competition. National championship winner can win over $100K in cash and prizes.

If you are just looking to begin on new lakes etc. consider fishing the BASS Federation region where you live. The SE Texas region fished Conroe, Somerville, Rayburn, Toledo, and Belton. It costs $75 to enter, you can fish as a non-boater, and you aren't necessarily paying the mortgages for the local hammers that dominate TTT and Champs.

You might want to look at the ABA AFT tournament format. Not a lot of prize money but you forge some great relationships with the other anglers.

Have always enjoyed Champs. Chad and Jeff are great. Have not tried TTT yet but might give it a go. Had a great time in Media and Weejend Series.too.

Champs if you don't wanna travel, they probably have something close to you and it's off limits all week before event. TTT if you like to travel and prefish as the events are more spread out. Can't go wrong with either. Both have great championships also

For one who is trying to get into watching competitive fishing I gotta say its hard to follow lol. There are so many trails(?) which I guess are like leagues? I don't really understand why there are so many, are some better than others? Bigger pots and bigger entry fees so that only pros can afford to participate? Are people allowed to participate in more than one trail at a time? Also how do you watch? What TV channels carry these events?

Politicians are like diapers, they both need to be changed often, and for the same reason - Unknown

I actually wanted to fish that series, but there is no attention being drawn when only 5-7 people sign up in our region for Rayburn
