That is how I cook striper filets and I love OLD BAY on my filets also.
What lake was that where you are catching hybrids so close to the shore?

They would taste sooo much better if you took the time to cut out the red meat on the outside of the fillet. Hybrids make great table fare.

Times 2. The rib-cage meat is easily removed and makes " Hybrid Nuggets " . Some folks claim that the minerals or mercury is held by same . IDK some marine biologist will chime in to underscore or dispute .
