Leave it up to GM to come up with something like this. I'm sure y'all have seen the new tailgate General Motors is SO proud of. Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on ads promoting it. Mark the tailgate where it hits the hitch. Use 3inch holesaw and cutout area. Fixed!! JK

I actually like the idea of having a step, but that's it. Everything else is stupid, especially the extra speaker system....because it's so hard to roll down your windows.

My framer has already crushed two tailgates hauling lumber on his F250.

Just take the hitch off and stow it. Problem solved. I carry a cheap fold out step ladder in the back of my truck. Much easier solution.

I like it. Is it really that hard to remove a trailer hitch? I know I would forget eventually. Poor design in my opinion.
