He pizzed off Kentucky and they blackballed him. But at this point it's ridiculously cruel punishment. One of the most beloved coaches of all time.

Any hard feelings towards Coach Sutton were erased when he walked down to give Raef a big hug on Senior night. What a class thing to do.

The Shawn Kemp situation was relatively minor compared to three of the others with 800 wins.

They were banned from the tournament for either 2 or 3 years for stuff that happened under his watch, and they have never forgiven him. As far as I know he personally was never implicated but his assistants were. Kentucky basketball is one of the true blue bloods, it won't ever be said that they officially black balled him but there is no other explanation. He had a bout with drug and alcohol dependency also but his basketball coaching abilities have never been questioned. I've never heard a kid he coached say anything but great things about him.
