Hi TFF: Some members asked me to put this video together to show how I mounted the Garmin Livescope Transducer onto my boat. I posted this on the Whitebass forum, but realize that some of you don't visit that Forum. So the link is posted below. This is a short video of a Garmin Livescope Transducer Mount that I modified based on Southern Reels Fishing's design. I made some minor modifications to keep the cost to under $15 by using all PVC components. I wanted one that can pan around while driving the boat, and be easily stowed for travel. I found that the slip joint did a great job doing both. So that's the design I went with. I picked this up at Lowes for about $2 each. I hope this gives you some ideas on mounting your Livescope transducer. If you have any questions, feel free to post them and I'll be sure to answer them. https://texasfishingforum.com/forum...-livescope-transducer-mount#Post13081353

I have been thinking about the way I would mount the transducer on my boat. I know if I purchase one of these units, I want mine to be fairly portable. This is a nice, simple idea, great design, thanks for sharing.

Very nice! A lot better than paying a couple of hundred for the same thing.

I actually didn't design it for portability; but with the outcome the way it is, you can just have another set of slip joints on another boat or on the same boat, and move it as you wish! Great idea. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! I knew it was a matter of time before someone came up with a cheep alternative. I have been racking my brains and walking all up and down Lowes to come up with something. THANK YOU SIR so much for sharing. I don't have the Panoptix but would still like to have my transducer on something separate. This will work.

We probably bumped into each other in the Lowes aisle coming up with solutions. Sometimes you just have to stand there, grab different pieces of PVC just to see how it would fit together. I'm glad you're able to make this work for your application. Tim

Did you cut that slot on a threaded TEE. Haven't seen one like it at the store.
