Hi TFF:
Some members asked me to put this video together to show how I mounted the Garmin Livescope Transducer onto my boat.

This is a short video of a Garmin Livescope Transducer Mount that I modified based on Southern Reels Fishing's design. I made some minor modifications to keep the cost to under $15 by using all PVC components. I wanted one that can pan around while driving the boat, and be easily stowed for travel. I found that the slip joint did a great job doing both. So that's the design I went with. I picked this up at Lowes for about $2 each.

I hope this gives you some ideas on mounting your Livescope transducer. If you have any questions, feel free to post them below and I'll be sure to answer them. Tim

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

You are a perfect example as to why this forum is successful . Live , eat , sleep fish and fish accessories. Biggest example of an individual that is very creative and has a passion to share. Hats off sir, thank you, I always review your threads first.

Thank you for your kind words! I've gotten a lot out of TFF, and hope to help others enjoy fishing as much as I do!

Very Nice!

I did something similar with PVC and a gimbal mount. I wanted the unit to be mobile and easy to change from boat to boat. Love that live scope!

Great. I see you may be using an inner sleeve for your panning. How fast are you able to go with it in the water? Mine starts rotating/moving over 4MPH. So I think I'll drill a hole and pin it to keep it from budging while going faster thatn 4MPH. Thanks
Tim

I put a tapered rubber plumbing seal there to stop that very problem.
