He cannot play QB in the NFL. Maybe a ploy to get more $$$$$$$ from Oakland. Who knows?

So let me get this straight. He signs a contract to play baseball and receives a check. Now he doesn't want to play baseball and it's no big deal, he shouldn't have to honor his contract?

The Ticket was saying he could go to the NYG and still spend some time with the A's, as he wouldn't be an immediate starter. Man can you imagine the NFC East?

be crazy to pass up guaranteed contracts in baseball. Agree. Any NFL team that drafts him will try to convert him into a slot receiver/return specialist. Don't think he has the size to play cornerback. I suppose Doug Flutie had success at QB, but Murray looks much more fragile--would need a great O line (Giants don't have that)

Someone was talking about the possibility of Arizona drafting him number 1 to team up with Coach Bro and auctioning Rosen off.

Then most guaranteed money would come if he was a first round NFL pick. The money is in the NFL and with the recent coach hirings going in a passing direction, he will probably get his opportunity to play. The key is to being a first round pick.

Ill just leave this here..... Its harder to make it in baseball and he wouldnt see the big leagues for about 3-4 years. Baseball players dont make big money until their 2nd or 3rd contract. Riding busses and living in hotels for 3-4 years would suck. 1st round draft picks in football make a lot more on the first contract over baseball and hed be on an NFL roster next year.

but if he is as good as advertised he would make well over $150M guaranteed money on his first real contract (actually his 2nd or 3rd). Best he'll get as a NFL QB is 20-30M in for sure money.
