So is the Bullet totaled? Why would it be? A hook at that speed maybe some severe structural damage, guess not.

Ken I'll have to get you to teach me how to drive though the horrible chine walk my blistering Skeeter gets at 70..... I love to go fast in a boat, not so much on land in a car... There is a feeling of extreme pleasure beyond 70+ I get why people go fast.... Be happy to Billy. Guys and gals, this man here Ken A. can run a boat to its limits. Ken had a 20' bullet with a 300 Merc that would exceed 100 mph on Fork.. You guys would really be surprised just how many go fast boats are around that area. I see boats test run a lot this time of year.. Water is thick, less slippage, = go fast..

I moved here from Washington State , There are ridiculous slow speed limits on most of the lakes. I just love the Freedom here in Texas on these huge lakes .

I fish a few lakes here in DFW are that have a all watercraft maximum speed 35mph sign. You should see the fishing tourneys on them. Drag racing at its best. Wed all be busted.

I'm still amazed no one was injured. My last go fast boat would bump 90. Was out cruising one day around 75-80 and slung a blade on my prop. The bow dropped and the boat hooked in the blink of an eye. It threw me out of the drivers seat and into the gunnel on the passengers side. Don't know how I didn't break my shoulder. What did I do after that, called my prop guy and ordered a replacement and made sure it ran a good as the first one. I've lost taste for the speed bug over the years but occasionally I do miss it. My dang bay boat only runs high 40's and can get a bit boring at times.

That run down Birch Creek is a nice place to turn the ponies loose.

I am glad no one was hurt. I don't know much about how a Bullet cockpit is configured. When I sit in my ole Triton, I think about what would happen if I got thrown out. My long legs go way under the console. If I did get ejected, something is likely to be broken.
Be safe, Rayzor ![[Linked Image]](http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp267/JLedbetter/th_Boatpics036.jpg) 2001 Triton Tx-21/225 Mercury EFI

This is AWESOME! Reminds me of the time I said I got a ticket for running under the bridge on Conroe at 25 mph. By the way there are no buoys warning its a no-wake zone - ticket dismissed. But by the end of the thread, I'd run over a family of 12 in a pontoon, hit 4 kayaks with 3 children in them, and smashed a bottle of Jack on the bridge as I went by. The only reason to run a boat 100 is if it won't do 101! My Merc loved that cold air yesterday, and pushed the ole' Ranger to 73.1 in Pophers yesterday. Love a ride in a fast boat! Add Ranger jokes here.

My long legs go way under the console. If I did get ejected, something is likely to be broken. Many times when guys get ejected their legs are badly injured or broken because you are basically ripped from under the console. Secondly their ribs are badly bruised or broken because they hit the side of the gunnel as they go out. The Lifeline Race Vests are designed for maximum protection against this, part of the reason they are $500+.
