I always have cash, feel naked without at least a grand, been that way for many years. And 100's are a pain sometimes to cash.

I always love the look on the clerks face when I take their security pen and use it on the bills they gave me as change.

I always carry a couple of hundred dollar bills tucked in the back of my wallet in case of an emergency. I keep a two dollar bill with that for good luck.

1. 100s are among the most conterfeited bills.
2. Most clerks have never seen a 100, not quite sure if it's real or not.
3. What idiot carries around 100s and buys $2 items.
4. Most convenient stores never have $100 in the drawer. That goes in the time lock safe.

Depends on where you live and the city. In Frisco or Plano I never have issues breaking a $100 bill for purchases.

Go to ghetto towns and they can't break a bone.

I used to be able to buy more gas with a twenty than I can now with a hundred.

I usually carry a hundred or so. Sometimes the same bills will sit in my wallet for months on end. There's almost no reason for cash these days. Pretty much the only time I use it is when I'm buying something I don't want my wife to know about.

I've went back to cash - tired of dealing with the inconvenience of debit/card theft, denied transactions due to perceived suspicious activity, etc...

If I carry cash it is always gone by the time I get where I'm going.

I love those frogskins. I keep a pocket full of them at all times. You never know when you'll run across a good deal.

Not a problem for me Or the wife. We use plastic for 98% of everything. Sure makes it easier balancing the checkbook when you write at most a handful of checks every month.

Only thing I (we both, wife does too) always "pay" in cash is server tips. Never ever put that on the card, leave it up to her/him whether to claim or not.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Only 3-4 things I'll use my card for. Spotify, satellite bill, electric bill, concert tickets.
Everything else is straight cash homie.
