Good idea all the way up to when the credit card machine or ATM doesn't work or the card reader on the fuel pump is broken. Good idea all the way up to when the credit card machine or ATM doesn't work - Go to a different CC machine or ATM or the card reader on the fuel pump is broken - Go to a different pump or walk inside to pay Its really not that difficult.

Its easier to launder small bills.
Just an observation from a friend. Marty Byrde? You could always buy a funeral home or open a riverboat casino

Agree. I rarely have move than $50 cash on me. I just prefer to use a CC and pay once a month for everything. I have never had a machine not work when I needed it.

I've never owned a vehicle with power windows... Haven't been to an ATM to get cash since 2013... Back in 1988 I tried to pay cash ($100 bills) for a LazyBoy chair, the store told me they didn't have cash on the hand and that I would have to pay exact change. Had to break one of the $100's at the Dairy Queen next door... I use either a credit card or check for everything anymore, and probably haven't used more than 5 checks in the past 3 years...
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

I know a guy who wont buy a truck with power windows just because he might accidentally drive it into a lake or river, and he wants to be able to roll the windows down to escape. I tried telling him he could just avoid driving into a lake and have the convenience of power windows, but he wouldnt listen.

Good idea all the way up to when the credit card machine or ATM doesn't work or the card reader on the fuel pump is broken. I havent carried cash regularly for about 5 years. I honestly dont ever remember going somewhere where their machine was down and I couldnt pay. Im sure it might happen at some point. The only time I find myself needing cash is tipping a valet. But now all the valet guys have the Venmo app or Apple Pay so I just use that.

I rarely have less than $300 in my pocket and wife usually has about the same. Gives me a sense of security. Don't use it much as I use credit cards for most purchases other than at restaurants. And, I don't do business with anyone who doesn't accept cash, though I understand their problem with employees stealing. But I wonder about giving my CC to an employee who isn't trusted to handle cash?

MERCY - not receiving what you deserve GRACE - receiving what you don't deserve Preach the gospel at all times; USE WORDS IF NECESSARY "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness." I'd rather walk with God with no questions answered than to walk thru life without Him and know the answers

I have tried to put money in lots of Coke or candy machines and they spit it back at me. you spend 10 minutes trying to get it straight and no wrinkles..He!! you can wad up a bill and a slot machine will take it. Tell me how that works.
