Btw I still say I broke 14 as my scale said 14.1 when caught but was 13.9 several hours later when tpwd showed up.

How many of these "sharelunkers" came out of a lake besides Athens? That place is small and loaded with big fish. Take your "talents" elsewhere and show share your greatness with other lakes.

Chase, you could probably save yourself from grief if you just call it was it is... Lunker Class. Read up on TPWD ShareLunker Program and you'll see the classifications for the program. Calling your fish "ShareLunkers" is a bit misleading and usually will po readers expecting to see a true sharelunker of 13+. If you are just doing for hits on youtube, that may cost viewer decline in the long run.

I'm with you, Chase. An 8lber IS a giant. I used to be neutral to you and your video presence on here. You're doing what you like and it never affected me, so more power to ya. With the way some of these yahoos shamelessly attack you, though, I find myself rooting for you now. I don't think you've made any claims that could be considered delusions of grandeur, nor do I recall you saying you're better than anyone else as some have implied. You like to create content and promote your channel. Why some folks take such offense to something that doesn't affect them, we'll never know I guess...Oh well, we're all flawed in some manner, some more than others.

I caught an 8.45 today......won another weekender and chunked the pig back in the lake at the ramp. That's what 8 pounders are for. I have a picture of it maybe Monday when the TD sends out results.

It's just a big fish. Nothing more. Sorry.

I understand that some of yall don't like the new rules for the Sharelunker program but the fact is that now 8lbers are Sharelunkers 9lbers are Sharelunkers & 10s & 12s are Sharelunkers. Embrace the change & don't get caught up in what they are called.

many of us on here don�t accept consolation prizes and we don�t believe in the �everyone gets a trophy� mentality. Just my opinion. TPW can do what they want to try and increase interest in the program. In my book, it takes 13 for a SAL. It will always be that way in my opinion. Yes. Times changes. But not always for the better.
