Houston folks referenced the loop way back when we lived there. No other Texas city I know of uses the reference. San Antonio calls 1604 and 410 the big loop, and the small loop, respectively. who does this? No one I know speaks this way about 1604 or 410.

I don't know what to say about this but it is true. This phrasing is also used in Las Vegas... not surprising half the people who live in Vegas are from California.

Mopac is short for mo packed than all the other roads in rush hour.
