Why would Congressmen care about the time? Are we saving energy or taking advantage of longer day light hours for war time arms production. NO! Did they poll their constituents? NO! Are we afraid Benjamin Franklin will get upset? I hope not.

How about this novel idea? Set the clock at 12:00 when noon comes around, adjust for time zones, and let the chips fall where they may.

Be safe,

Just Texas, or the rest of the world?

DST means spring forward and fall back! That's how it works. It was dark going to work this morning and will still be daylight going home. No big deal. I'm past kids in school, ball games etc.

I saw it on the Texas Legislature website, it is still moving around. The most recent activity showed a report that confirmed no economic hardship would occur if DST was cancelled.

I knew a woman that would argue with you about that fact for hours.

She also said after bouncing her 1st ever check, "How can I be out of money? I still have checks in my checkbook."

That was my first ex-wife.

I do believe the length of the days does fluctuate a little depending on the earths orientation when compared to the sun.

And we STILL have the same amount of daylight in a 24 hour period. Clocks don't change that.

And my maternal grandmother. It cost my mom around $1200 in 1973 to clean up my grandmother's financial house after my grandfather died. He never explained how checking accounts worked. He died unexpectedly at the age of 46. Mom handled my grandmother's finances from that point on.

No they sure don't, but the angle at which the earth faces the sun does. We do not get the same amount of daylight every 24 hours all year long.
