OP Pitch Outdoorsman P Joined: Jul 2016 Posts: 73	Anyone know when Lowrance is going to actually release their new "Fish Reveal" software update? Supposed to have been available on the 10th, but not on their website for downloading yet as of this morning.

Get an sd card and insert it into your HDS, Then download the new s/w to your sdcard. Then when it reboots, it will automatically upgrade. At least that's the way I remember it. Good luck One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too! jfdawson Extreme Angler J Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,016 Frisco, Tx / Atlanta, Tx	the max size SD card is 32gb. I would recommend backing up your waypoints, trails, etc. before doing the update. When I went from 4.5 to the 6.0 update, i lost everything and ended up having to do a HARD RESET to get the units ( gen3 9 & 12 ) to perform correctly. I think the jump from 4.5 to 6 or even the new Fish Reveal is a major update for Lowrance. Because it's a "major" update, I wouldn't do it over wireless. I consider myself very Lowrance savy when it comes to these units.. and IMO, I would highly suggest doing this update from a SSD card.
