The only surprise here is that there is just now an investigation into Southlake... In their dominant era under Dodge it was well known they recruited players. Players parents would be set up with good paying jobs and housing. This information comes from a former assistant coach in another sport at Southlake I used to fish with from time to time.... I know this is true. We have family that live in Southlake and their son started for two years on the varsity. He was an OL and they would tell us each year about a certain QB or RB that happened to move in because their parents got a job in the area. What happened is someone got butt hurt because their little Johnny didn't get to play and now are blowing the whistle.

North Crowley said to tell Jonathan Grey hello If places like north Crowley weren't such s holes their families would not wanna leave to come to wonderful places like Aledo. Places their children get good education and are safe. Fort Worth ISD should get an assist for all of Titles for being such a Dump. They are our biggest supporter.

I know for a fact my HS recruited a RB that ended up playing college ball at dead dog station. He was part of another ISD in a neighboring town. This kid ended up at my HS, when his mom some how got a job in my home town’s ISD.

Sounds similar to what happened in DeSoto last year with the star QB and his parents allegedly being offered jobs if the QB played there for a year or two.

Can you blame parents for wanting to get out of places like Crowley, Everman, Fort Worth isd, mid cities districts, Arlington for God's sake. The fact that the parents worked hard to rise up and make it to places like Southlake, Aledo, Allen, etc should be praised. Some of you have a touch of racist about you and must think people should live in certain areas. Shameful

Its really simple. Are places such as Southlake and Aledo recruiting. Damn right they are! Recruitment by success. Success breeds success which in turn bring in people looking for a better opportunity for their kids. Good for them! These districts should be commended, not condemned.

If you are affluent, get your kid into high school hockey. It costs more, and you won't mind paying. After all, you are affluent! Addendum: Football "helmets" must be weaker or something, probably because they are lighter. Back when I played, when many of us did last century, we did not have near the head injuries that are happening now. The Southlake Carrol coach seems to be getting his bell rung now. ...------

You probably haven’t seen a football helmet in a really long time. I have 2 at my house right now, one is less than a year old and the other about 4 years old. They are both top of the line riddell and are 1000x better than anything I wore 20-25 years ago.
