That's a Wal-Mart rule. They've done it to me at the Midlothian one and the Waxahachie one.

In Texas it is legal for a parent to provide alcohol to their own minor child. Hasn't changed in over 40 years. Most resturants, bars, and other establishments that serve or sell alcohol are unaware of law or have policy of their own. True. Also for their minor spouse.

All you have to do is raise hell, they'll cave.

You can feed your child drink if it is your choice. Wall Mart needs to stick to selling [censored] and get off the parenting kick.
I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.

You should have demanded to speak to the grocery manager.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him had better take a look at the American Indian".

heck, you can take your kid in a liquor store. A parent can take his minor kid to the bar and drink with him as long as he is in the visible presence of his parent, guardian, or spouse. ABC 106.04 (a)(b).
Yes you can trust the Government, just ask the Indians.

this just gave away ur age... From time to time the Lcb will set up a sting doing the same. Older male with younger looking male with no id. Cashiers can receive a 10,000 fine for selling to someone with out an id. That being said if he had an id and last name the same no problem sell it. A lot of pressure is put on the cashier but she could have called for help from supervisor if both parties had the same last name. Been there and had to approve the sale as both had id's and same last name. It was a sure thing they were father and son. Minors will try anything to get the beer.
MERCY - not receiving what you deserve GRACE - receiving what you don't deserve "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness." America's MESS / is being repaired by God's miracle fixes I'd rather walk with God with no questions answered than to walk thru life without Him and know the answers

Denison Wal Mart makes up their own rules. Not surprised if this is where it happened. Self check is usually less restictive.
