"I believe if he hadn't used the bump stock more people would be dead and less people would have been hit. I say this because if you have ever been prairie dog hunting and aiming at a few hundred yards like in the case of the LV shooter. You would know how accurate and how many shots you can get off in a very shot time. I would like for each of you to think how many prairie dogs you could kill if you hit them in the head while shooting a regular AR 15 with a few extra clips and all the dogs where pin up. I would think in a ten minute time frame I could get 10-15 pre minute pretty easy. so 100-150 in a ten minute time period. People the answer is not making more laws it won't stop the crazies they can just buy from other countries, they are not planing to go to jail any way or obeying the

MAYBE, if they're standing still like a prairie dog, but after the first few shots they are not.

It may make more sense to legislate concert venues. An open field packed with 40,000 people shoulder to shoulder enclosed by chain link is like shooting fish in a barrel. Especially with high rise hotels within range.

Some crazy person who wants to kill people will not be stopped by laws.

Isn't the act of killing someone against the "law"?

And nevertheless it still occurs.

One does not need a bump fire stock to fire rapidly.

There were 22,000 and only a few exits with fences and a high wall on each side. Once everyone ran towards the exits, they were herded like cattle in a small area with nowhere to go. Watch some of the videos. There are people everywhere.

You called it a false flag? Why do you think it was a false flag? I agree with John. No one reputable called it a false flag.

My point is a LARGE number of people (including on this forum) were calling it a false flag to get gun control passed. Well they actually loosened control since then, and then Obama was going to declare martial law and take your guns and then that didn't happen. People run out and buy even more guns and ammo after a shooting so nothing will ever be done even if there is a solution which I have suggested and not one person commented on.
So my point is hundreds of people were killed and shot and no one will do anything about it, so chill.

Just received this in an email from the NRA:

National Rifle Association of America | 11250 Waples Mill Road | Fairfax, VA 22031

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oct. 5, 2017

FOR MORE INFORMATION
NRA Public Affairs
(703) 267-3820
media@nrahq.org

NRA's Wayne LaPierre and Chris Cox Issue Joint Statement

Fairfax, Va.- The National Rifle Association today issued the following statement:

"In the aftermath of the evil and senseless attack in Las Vegas, the American people are looking for answers as to how future tragedies can be prevented. Unfortunately, the first response from some politicians has been to call for more gun control.

Banning guns from law-abiding Americans based on the criminal act of a madman will do nothing to prevent future attacks. This is a fact that has been proven time and again in countries across the world.

In Las Vegas, reports indicate that certain devices were used to modify the firearms involved. Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law.

The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.

In an increasingly dangerous world, the NRA remains focused on our mission: strengthening Americans' Second Amendment freedom to defend themselves, their families and their communities. To that end, on behalf of our five million members across the country, we urge Congress to pass National Right-to-Carry reciprocity, which will allow law-abiding Americans to defend themselves and their families from acts of violence."

Sounds like I think like the NRA.

It was made legal by a bureaucrat and can be made illegal by one...no Congress involved.

That will make their heads explode because they're gearing up for a big show and someone cancelled their limelight.

Okay, fine.. let those people making their own deal with the federal charges when they get caught, but lets take them off the market so that any idiot out there cant just order one on the internet and instantly make a weapon almost auto.

The average Joe who buys one or owns one for novelty will be stopped by laws.

Someone who wants to do harm will not be stopped by laws.

Correct as there are a few million of them out there now.
I also have always been amazed that tannerite has been legal. It has. O thing to do with firearms or the NRA or the second amendment.

Sounds like some inane law regulating bump stocks will just be some liberal pacifier juice. I'm ok with that. They (libs) will pat each other on the back, rake in some minion campaign funds and kissing babies for the next election. Until the next nut job kills a bunch.

One real problem that prevents any hands across the isle or "reach arounds" smile is that libs are never satisfied and will continue to try to weasel more stupid laws regulating anything 2nd amendment.
I think I could empty a magazine as fast as a bump stock with nothing but my finger.
Not even close. Properly set-up, a bump stock equipped rifle can empty a 30 rd. magazine in about 4 seconds.

Good point. I was comparing it to the cadence of the Vegas audio. Some of the videos I've seen are much, much faster.

Stores are already sold out of Bump Stocks. Some stores pulled them off the shelves. Auctions are blowing up.

Gunbroker.com has stopped allowing auctions of them.
