They are awesome lures and you can cover a lot of water. Not sure why some have had no luck but I read the same kind of post about guys who have no luck with a jig or other lures

Sometimes the fish just arent there, dang em...I can catch 15 on a friday, zero on saturday, 1 on sunday, 3 on monday, etc etc etc...lol...
I also like the crystal minnow color...looking fwd to seeing the 110 one of these days! Tried the huge one, and it was just too big for my taste...

You must be on Hubbard Nate! smile It's a large buzz bait that you can kill without it sinking. Stop it. Pop it. I actually have gotten the biggest bites on a slow steady retrieve.

Awesome bait down here at Amistad! If you are getting short stikes and misses, change out the front hook with a red treble. It incresed my hook up ratios tremendously. JM2C

WHopper Plopper has been purchased.
Academy in Tyler only has two colors....Black & some clearish shad color with a green back.
They'll be wet at 4a.m.

I had one blow up right in front of me as well...was standing in the water and BOOM! Scared the stuff outa me! That's why you should never give up on a retrieve....Sometimes they hit it late! smile

Only caught bass on one in a private lake, no takers on a public lake in any area and about 20 different retrieves. Same with YM, I have literally caught one bass about three inches on it. Will be trying the Plopper here on the cape cod canal for striper.

I fished one at night here on Cape Cod for a solid hour and never so much as had a strike. Other top waters worked great.

I have only caught fish on it on a private lake but a straight retrieve did not work. Cast out lift the rod tip and have it "plop" and then let sit, always hit it while it was still, never moving.

Terminator. I find topwaters work best for me when they have as clear a finish as possible. Yamamoto 3in pencil the lone exception...
