Pick a different lake. Belton is very stingy with its bass. I love Belton, to me it's the easiest to navigate around, but there is not much vegetation, and it is very deep. Best luck I have had is flipping the houseboats/docks, and a few of the points.
Also, do a search on here, there has been other inquiries about Belton.

The best smallmouth lake in the state right now and has been for a few years. Go at night in the summer and fall and focus on points and rocks. Check your line often for nicks, lots of zeebs.
