"As far as Vanish goes, it is in about the same class as Red Label." No comparison!! After breaking off two fish in about 10 minutes with Vanish I was done with it. I've used 15# and 20 # Red Label for about the last four years. Before that I used 15# InvisX. Red Label is way cheaper so I thought I'd try it. I do just as well with the Red Label and think the 15# might be a bit tougher than the 15# InvisX. Never tried 20 # InvisX. It doesn't cost much to try the Red label.

I was a fan of Sunline FC Sniper. I used to use InvisX but I guess I had bought few bad spools because they would just brittle up and snap. Since then, the only other fluoro I've tried was P-Line's Tactical because there was some sale on TW. Never had problems with it but I've switched to braid ever since the InvisX fiasco and use the PLine as leader material.

I must have gotten a few bad Vanish spools. Invizx hasn't sold me a bad spool. You people ragging on vanish are clearly rookie types who can't catch them. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewfluorocarbontest.html
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

Unless you fish water with more than 10 feet of visibility regularly or if you tournament fish; I wouldn't even mess with fluorocarbon
I've seen it make a little difference on slow moving applications and it does get crankbaits deeper; but for how high maintenance it is; and the cost, I don't think it's worth it for most fishermen

Besides he claims it's full of moss and vegetation so he can't throw crankbaits anyway. Read his other posts.
