IF its a commodity AZ is fine. But if you're looking for quality parts go OEM or Nappa. I've had a lot of quality issues from Oreilly too. IMO Nappa is the best in the after market world.

They are all coming from same supply houses or rebuilders anyway. Just slap different labels on them is all.

Not necessarily. He would know, runs a successful auto shop. Tells me the parts may look the same but they're not. I believe him. Known him 25+ years.

I have been restoring an old car for the last 6 months or so and find Auto Zone to be on par with all the rest when it comes to quality or avalibility. I have used Napa, ORielly! AutoZone, and Advanced and really see very little difference.

When I was in high school/college I drove a 90's chevy. I had to put a new thermostat in it every year because it would stick open and the truck wouldn't warm up or have a functional heater. When I quit putting the $3 thermostat that was autozones cheapest one in there I never replaced it again and it worked fine.

As Hard as I drive my company trucks and the mileage I almost always have my mechanic get my parts from the Ford house. Cost a little more , but last a lot longer. You get what you pay for. I know made in mexico , but still a lot better than made in China

All aftermarket parts are NOT the same in quality though they may all be sourced from the same distributor.
For instance, there is a world of difference in quality of front-end components when you compare MOOG to MAS, Mevotech, or UltraPower!

This ^^^^. It all depends on whether you really just enjoy breaking down and working on your vehicles or not. If you do, then buy the China carp. Their rotors will warp at the first rainfall.

Like yesterday when it happened they were in Brownwood , had to call around to find a shop that could do it then , time lost from them not doing there work at our Vulcan plant . Then having to go back and finish , then drive to Sweetwater . My mechanic is going to reimburse me the 600.00 , it is just the time my guys had to spend on a BS part made in China . Just sad that nobody these days seems to care about quality parts like the ones we had growing up . Made in the USA ? Yea right.
