It is always sad to see a fellow fisherman perish. It is even more tragic that it occurred while fishing with his young son. Matt was a friend of a good fishing buddy of mine. So I offer my prayers to his friends and family and issue a somber reminder to always wear your life jacket. It might not have made a difference in this case....But it might have saved his life.

Bruce, please take a month off from the forum to think about what Naggler says.

Yes sir. I will. Very sorry.

I got what you were saying...the boat was found up on the bank with no footprints around it...next day the boy shows up with a few scratches....people are too sensitive these days. you dint say anything wrong, people just took it the wrong way. as far as being told to take a month of from the forum that's ridiculous.

You should take a month off the forum for making that suggestion to Bruce.
Last I checked........YOU ARE NOT a moderator.
In fact, I bet 1/2 the members here would need to take a month off (according to you) just for saying something stupid.
Goes to show that people make mistakes, like it or not.

I don't agree with everything Bruce says or does but, I've never made an ignorant statement as you have.
He quickly apologized, which should suffice.
If that's not good enough for you, that's to bad.
Grow up, move on & get over it.

Very sad. Prayers for all the family and friends to work through this.

Bruce, we've all made posts that shouldn't have been made. I have and regretted it afterwards. All we can do is apologize and be more aware what we've written before we hit the submit button. No need for you to take time off from here.

I don't think a time out is appropriate for joking around either. He apologized and removed his message and that's plenty IMO...always have to remember that this is a fishing community and his family and friends will probably see this post.
Still can't get over what that little boy endured. He will grow up to do great things I am sure!

Everyone's had a chance to vent and express themselves. Let's all chill out a bit, ok?
