It is not only with fishing, these buzzwords like: "annihilated", "destroyed" or "SICK!!!", "AMAZING!!" etc are appearing everywhere on videos like with NBA videos or other sports in YT. However, clearly it is working when they keep using it...

I get it when pros and guides put out videos. They are selling a product and videos help them sell it. Pros are selling their sponsors products, and guides selling their services. I guess I just don't get why others feel the need to post a video every time they go fishing. It seems like they care more about instant gratification than they do fishing. Just a product of the times I reckon.

I view the videos on here as part of the 'look at me' world we live in.

I ride mountain bikes too and borrowed a buddies go pro to video a few rides a couple years ago. I spent more time jacking with that damn go pro than riding, then another few hours after rides to review video, editing video, etc. That's was time I could have been riding, or in this case fishing. Just didn't seem worth it in the whole scheme of things. I'll settle for a camera video clip or a nice photo of any epic, colossal, mega fish smashing I do, and I hope you guys are ok with a photo of any DD fish I catch (background edited of course). Lol

It's that danged Perstaffer video. All these "video producers" think that was real and they're all trying to to be like the perstaffer now. First it was facebook and now youtubes with their GoPros. Dude!, do you really think we want to see the "sick" video of you "killing" the fish in a "smashfest"?

All I know is we slayed those slawnch dawnkeys on Saturday!! Put the beatdown on em real bad man. It was an epic day and a smash-fest that me and my bruh will never forget homey. Yea bruh (turns flat-bill kinda cocked sideways)

Every generation in the past has had a problem with the future generation, someone had a problem with your generation previously I can assure you. The same way people are on here griping about GoPro videos and phrases, someone awhile ago was griping about the very computers you are typing you comments on. Everyone always has a problem with "them", whether it's an opposite age group, sex, race, or religion. We see them doing something we don't agree with and throw them all into a group so we an complain about the whole group. Just enjoy fishing and don't watch the videos if you don't want to, everyone is quick to cast stones when in all reality if you look in the mirror I'm sure there was a lot for the generation before you to throw their stones at too.
