If he'd take it sure its a great deal. The money is too high to pay him and brings it back to the center a bit but if Yu performs better this year he's going to get more money in his next contract and we lose him after next year anyway without resigning him.

Saying Yu who's averaged over 3 ERA over the last 4 years is a wash to Kershaw who's averaged under 2, well thats just bonkers.

I like the trade, Kershaw is a better pitcher.

0-2, 5.4 ERA. Two starts. Darvish hasn't stayed healthy, which is another problem, and they self-destructed last year. The knock on Kershaw is that he underperforms in the post-season. That kind of hard to disagree with, based on his post-season numbers when compared to his regular season numbers.

I'm not sure how I feel about the trade (hypothetical) Yu can't stay healthy and pretty plainly isn't happy in Texas. Those are problems. I'm not sure I buy the hype on Kershaw based on his playoff history. He is a great pitcher but seems to underperform in the post season.

not that this trade will ever happen, but Kershaw started having back problems this year and those almost never go away for pitchers. I really like they guy and hope I'm wrong.

He needs to quit trying to strike everyone out like he did in Japan. Over there they will let a guy throw 150 pitches, not here. He is a very good pitcher and it he can continue his move to pitching to contact he will only get better.
