We really like our pool. Pretty low maintenance with the salt system. I go months without adding anything at all. Great for entertaining and a grandkids magnet. I already have the cover on mine and will wake it up as soon as the leaves completely fall. We replastered last year, so it is good as new.

I have seen some pool builders really take advantage of some homeowners that are not familiar with pools at all. It's kinda sad to see what they leave the homeowners with. The only thing worse is repair companies that home warranty company use When you think of it in terms of cost per square foot but then consider the materials they are using something doesn't add up, at least when you compare to basically any other type of construction. Wouldn't be surprised at all if you didn't help pay for materials on someone else's pool

Salt pools have higher ph levels, you don't add muratic nearly every week, your ph is through the roof and if you haven't added in months, it'll be extremely high, high ph is corrosive and eat away metal pretty fast, and if you have pool heater it'll away the copper in no time, might be doing more damage than good.
