No, if you want Side Imaging with a Side Imaging transducer, you have to purchase a Side Imaging unit.

Two ways to have Side Imaging with a Down Imaging unit.
1. Connect a Side Imaging unit to it via Ethernet and share that technology.
2. Add a 360 transducer and the 360 will give the DI unit Side Imaging.

Thanks. Other question is what is the difference between the SI GPS and the SI GPS KVD?

Exact same model and functions except the KVD version has some red bling and comes with some lures/maybe a book too.

Humminbird 598 ci hd si. Does anyone have an approximate guess as to how much a transducer and cable would cost for this unit? And are they available? Thanks

The standard transducer for that model is the transom XNT 9 SI 180 T with a MSRP of $199.99

It will produce sharper images with the transom transducer XHS 9 HDSI 180 T with a MSRP of $269.99.

Contact Shut-Up-And-Fish or a marine electronics dealer or do a web search for those models. They are current transducers used with the current Helix SI models.

The US2 transducer is 2d only. If you want down imaging on the trolling motor you will have to mount the transducer directly to the motor.

Does anyone know of a way to add preferred routes to my lakemaster display?

The navionics on my iPad has them. Just stay on the light dashed magenta line and you will negotiate the bouys just fine. Lakemaster shows where the bouys are, but it can be very confusing at the intersections.

Now that the tva has dropped the lake level, a misread bout can easily results in lower unit repair or worse.

Where do you see routes with the Navionics Mobile App?????

Edited: I see them on Kentucky Lake. That is a Navionics map feature recently added. One of my map cards has not been updated for a couple of months and those lines are not on that map.

Whomever supplied that data would be the source for Lakemaster to add it to their maps.

Lakemaster has annual map editions so IF that would be added, it would be late Winter before a new map card is released.
Navionics updates their maps daily and new stuff is available to download via the Freshest Data program.

What you might have to do is run the route with the Navionics and save that route to your unit. That way it will always show up. Sometimes the Lakemaster doesn't always have the details of the Navionics

If you did it with your unit, that would be a GPS Track. You can make it appear similar by either editing the Saved Track or changing the Default Saved Track setting to resemble that dashed line before you record it.

Just updated one of my Navionics cards and it does not have those lines for Kentucky Lake. That means it is on the Web App and Mobile App but has not been added to the Update server yet, so no map card would have it yet.

Correction, I re-checked a little more closely for those lines and they are there, but very small dotted black lines about the same size as contour lines. They would be very hard to follow even with a 20' Zoom range.

The orange highlighted channels would be easier to see, but there would be no cross-lake paths indicated.

If I network a 998c SI with a Helix 12 CHIRP will the 998 be able to show the CHIRP image from the 12?
