I just googled "medina lake water level". I think it's lakesonline.com or something... Now I wonder which the right level is, I recall them raising the full lake line a few years ago so yours might be right: Either way, this should get there.

Great news. I've always loved Medina, and have a lot of fond memories of the old lake.

She's definitely on the rise, up nearly 9 ft since midnight. Check out my Facebook page Debra Hengst - Angler for a picture from the marina this morning. Please practice safety as debris is in the river headed south. Debra

Yeah, the news said 1064 was the full mark, I guess the site I was looking at needs to update their info. Gonna be some good fishing in 2 years.

I was out there Friday and Sunday and caught fish both days, had to hunt them though. I was using a 6" black work with a chartreuse tail. The biggest one was around 1.5-1.75 pounds. Just to give you an idea of how fast the water level increased. Friday I fished in an area that was 17'. That area was 8-10' three weeks ago. The same area on Sunday was 27'. I was on the lake 4 hours Sunday and the lake level raised another 2' before I left. With this much water they should just add another 200,000 fingerlings.

Interesting set up with that spillway. That means the lake can never stay in flood pool for very long.

Interesting set up with that spillway. That means the lake can never stay in flood pool for very long. That was one main reason for concern a few years back when the waters rose so high over the spillway that they feared it would top the dam and the waters would wash away the bottom of the dam causing it to fail. They fixed that problem since but it was pucker time there for several anxious hours during that flood event.

Very interesting! They must have had some very, very heavy rain quickly for the spillway not to be able to keep the water level from threatening the top of the dam.

Side note,2 weeks ago kids were perch jerking and we caught a healthy channel cat about 10". I hope they did stock the lake,if not though,I guess the cats have reproduced. Crappie, catfish and hybrid perch stocking would be awesome. A lot of kids fish that lake.
