There is a guy out of Choctaw, OK that did mine for $250 looks pretty good, if interested I can try and dig up his contact information. I need to get mine done again after losing it in house fire last month.

Thanks a ton for all the info! It was super helpful. I'll never get a live mount done because for one, I want to release the fish healthy, and the replicas are not as fragile. I'm in no hurry to get it done either, I mean heck I caught the fish in October and haven't done anything but post a couple pictures lol. I'll be sure and post a pic once I finally get it done!

Thanks again!

I've got a buddy up here who does a pretty dang job and I would like to give him my business. I just wanted to make sure his prices were consistent with others. And it looks like that is the case. I'm thinking it will be somewhere in the $400-$500 range

Fish replicas vary a great deal in price and quality. Details and artistic skills usually determine pricing.
Custom molded and cast replicas that are hand painted are going to be a bigger investment than a run of the mill, Chinese blank replica that is quickly airbrushed. Ask your artist if the do their own replicas start to finish or buy the same ones every other artist does from the same suppliers. Very few are start to finish custom artists.

I tell people to shop by the quality you want not the price. Think about the investment.....40K truck pulling a 60-80k Bass boat loaded with $400 rods and reel combo's (many) and boxes and boxes of lure totally hundreds.
Now after fishing (sometimes decades) for your personal trophy, bingo!!!! Finally you get her! NOW is not the time to get cheap!!

That fish will be a precious memory for life if done well, or on the flip side a nagging reminder of cheapness...... Fish mounts are something you do usually once or twice in a lifetime, not every month. Some people are making a private collection of mounts, but the average angler does 1 or 2.
Just like in rods and reels, guns etc. Quality counts...........Your fish SHOULD look like a real fish just pulled from the water, not a billy bass cartoon!
