Nice catches Jimmy! You need one of those "Jason" hockey masks and that'll scare off the poachers!

Do y'all prefer to eat or catch hybrids? Can you really taste the difference between them and all the sandbass that are in the creeks?

I think we all would prefer to catch hybrids, just cause the catch is tougher. Personally, I can't taste the difference between the two but there is much more meat on the hybrids. I prefer the taste of crappie over both of them.

Nice haul, KFJ Bet those were fun on ultra light rod,
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Went out the day before yesterday near firewheel and didn't have too much luck. I did catch this one though. I should've taken a picture of him from the side, but his stripes were in between a white bass and hybrid. So when in doubt, take a look in the mouth right? I took a look inside the mouth and it looks like two tooth patches on the far side of the tongue, correct? Fish was about 13", so I was sure if decent sandie or baby hybrid. Just trying to make sure I don't get in trouble. Thanks!

Not really clear in the picture. I would want to see further back on the tounge. I can barely see where they patch should be. My guess it's a Sandy

That's what I thought but the irregularity on the sides of the tongue made me think twice.

The Run is end. Fish is everywhere in the lake. this for tuesday fishing at rc Hey I know that spot! Thats where I was catching in my video. Saw 4 cars there today and one on the other side at 9am My car made #6 at the 66 bridge. Nothing downstream from the bridge, I walked out with a skunk and went over to Firewheel and left there smelling the same. Only stayed like an hour at each place as I had things to do but. No bites.

I was there this morning too. Caught 2 yellow bass. Headed down south a ways. Found the jackpot! 3 hybrids and 10 sandies in 2 hours. Not a bad day!
