How's the creek looking today after the rain? I'll know in about 30 min, headed there now. Wasn't much rain right around RC, but not sure how much they got north of us that will flow in.

Water is stained and a few ft higher, maybe 2-3ft. Nice current.

I guess it wasn't that bad. Sounds like it's still fishable. Probably heading out there tomorrow.

So far, today's activities have been non fruitful, but interesting. Saw a school of gar in the shallows under the pipe by Bush, actually tossed a fluke and reeled beside them and one hit. Three seconds later, he spit it out but they were rolling all over the top of the water. Little frogs are everywhere near the banks, and further downstream saw several big carp kicking the water and brushpiles heading upstream. Oh, and a snake swim across the creek 20 yds from me. Fun stuff!
The sun is out, the birds are chirping, the fish are busting, and the constant sound of gunfire...Ahhh, so serene!

I would just pitch the jighead without a bobber into the current and bounce it off the bottom back to me. They would knock slack in my like when they hit. I was using a 1/4 oz jighead.
