I'm with crope1. postioning yourself and asserting without saying anything isn't confrontational just a polite reminder of what they shouldn't be doing. Problems after that then I would remind them of their place and proper fishing etiquette.

Just wait until they keep the first illegal fish and call the Game Warden. If they'll do that, they'll keep an 8" crappie without hesitation.

I would not have put markers out that close to bank that has some good markers in place. Also when that much room from your boat to bank hard to read if you left room to go both sides of you, are how you want it done. Works both ways you have to let the other guy know what you are doing.
