The six foot G Rod is the only pole that I've ever used that I can consistently feel every bite with, and it's also the only rod that I've used that will shoot jigs 20ft out of the back side of a dock. Not to mention the back bone this rod offers...

Dang, 20' out the back side is a pretty good shot!!
Which one of the 6 footers do you have? Did you get a pre-release model for testing or something - web site says coming soon.

Jon, I got that rod last June as a tip for putting the G Rod staff on a bunch of fish during a commercial shoot. I really wasn't expecting to be overly impressed by these rods, but I now own three of them and sincerely believe they are the best fishing pole available on the market.

As I recall you used crappiemaxx rods when you guided, did you ever use the boneheads prior to using the G Rods? Wondering about the differences, because the boneheads are top notch to me...so if you suggest they are better for the money, I'm listening...I have always trusted your opinion on gear...just clue me in on why.

Thanks in advance.... hmmm

Wally has a new 6' WMPSS60ML $44.99 for dock shooting that he recommends. I've been using it since it came out and love it for dock shooting. I can shoot a 1/16th oz jig to the back of any dock I've tried with it!
If you can't find it on the shelf, you can buy them direct from Lew's!
