I have never ventured south to Rowlett creek, I've been reading through threads here and looking on google maps to figure out were to park. It looks like I can park on the east side of the creek at Miller Rd. is that the nature preserve parking I'm reading about? Its hard to tell from Google maps but it looks like there is some parking there, can anyone tell me if that is an option? I like to find my own fishing holes but I'm always looking for free parking advice!

Thanks for the info KungFuJimmy! Finding a good place to park and not get stuck is the most important part of a good bank fishing hole. Nothing messes up a good day of fishing faster than being stuck in the mud or not being able to park.

I think I'll try to get out there early saturday morning and explore a little and see how the bite goes.

That parking lot only holds about 12 cars. Can likely fit another dozen of so along the road heading into the lot if people park properly. Looks like there is also and incomplete ramp on the opposite side; they might have plans for another lot. You can also park as the nature trail and walk about 5 minutes. The nature trail parking grants you access to the other bank on the creek.

Went out on Saturday & caught a 12&1/2" Sandy & saw a Bald Eagle flying above the tree line above the creek.

Jimmy, you been outside wink? Lakes are still upper 40's. I'll head out in another 10 to 14 days to check it out.

I know creeks that have sandbass by the bunch in them caught limits already . So it depends on the creek.
