I'm interested in buying either the Helix 9 or 10 SI. What is the primary difference between the two? And does that justify a $500 price difference.

helix 9 Si = $999
helix 10 Si = $1499

Thanks!
Scott

The Helix 10 has a larger display and has more pixels per square inch (higher image resolution).
The Helix 10 comes with the HDSI transducer and the Helix 9 comes with the less expensive Compact SI transducer.

With the Side Imaging technology, BIGGER is better.

Both of your units will support the 360 and share it.

The only unit larger is the Helix 12.

The 360 is an Ethernet accessory. To have three devices connected you need the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet switch.
The switch is powered so plan its location. Then you need an Ethernet cable for each device to the switch. The 360 comes with a 20' Ethernet cable, just need two more in appropriate lengths.

The 360 also comes with the Heading Sensor GPS antenna---AS GPS HS

If you get a Helix 9, 10, or 12 you would need an Ethernet adapter AS EC QDE to connect the Ethernet cable.
With the Helix series, you can use any of the three versions for the 360.
The 2D, DI, or SI model.
If you do that and want to still use your current units, just connect it to the switch and have 360 on all three.

You need current unit software for the units you have now---7.670

you may have to go the dual transducer route, that would be si transducer on each side of the outboard, then the y splitter cable that separates right from left si signals to the head unit

I agree. The Y cable is the AS SILR Y .
What it does is disconnect the left side SI crystal in the right side SI transducer and connects only the left side SI crystal in the left side SI transducer.

A common installation for pontoons, inboard/outboard prop and jet drives, tunnel hulls, and multi-engine boats.

It would help, but the Humminbird di is what's called blended di, meaning that the left and right si beans cross each other below the transducer to create a computer generated image. The Humminbird transducer does not have a dedicated di element. Only the Onix has a di crystal along with the si ones as well. You would have to get a down imaging Humminbird unit to get better di detail unless you went with an onix, or add di transducer along with the si transducer
