The creek crappie fishing is is just flat out off the chain this year, as good as I have seen it in years, yet people "wanna see better weather", or "want the water to clear up", or want the limits handed to them already filleted and battered. Excuses, excuses!
GET OUT THERE, SCOUT YA A CREEK, AND GO GETCHA SOME! THEY WILL BE THERE TO ABOUT MID FEB TO FIRST OF MARCH, THEN THE SANDIES AND LMB'S WILL RUN EM OUT! Or wait till Saturday, attend Carey's seminar, arm yourself with all the info you will ever need to be successful at winter creek fishing(yes, he is that good and does know that much), Load up on the gear at BPS, and head straight to the creek, do not pass go, do not stop by to pick up the spouse's "honey do" list, and GO GETCHA SOME, YOU ARE OUT OF EXCUSES!!! Bring dinner home!

You ain't gonna catch anything sitting here reading this! I am headed out in about an hour or so, and will probably go back out late tonight, tomorrow night late for sure.
BTW I work two jobs and find time, just in case you were wondering.

Slowed down last night a touch caught 15 with about 3 keepers in the mix!! Shapin up good for this winter!!

Any one catching during the day? From what I've heard its a finicky bite haven't heard any good reports and if I do I will report but it should start picking up I would think!!! Do some scouting ya never know!!

Weekends usually u can fish there at millet because they're isn't construction going on. But I have heard the if u go upstream crappie are biting good. I will try it out monday.

I'm sure the fish moved way upstream in RC with all of that cold rain we got. The dam at miller couldn't have deterred them, I bet there was a solid 10' wall of water that would allow them to move further upstream. I'd check between 66 and fire wheel.

Bachman lake produce good crappie I've fished it in the past but I rather not go bad experience over there one time.
