By the way, I'm not encouraging people to attack or question fish photos with unrealistic weights, but maybe to the folks who post photos, be proud of your 6-8 pound bass. You don't need to stretch it to 10.14 to impress folks here on the TFF. Word

Chet, tell us more about "panic lake". Guessing that fish is 20-21 inches. I've personally seen fish 10+ that were 6-7 years old, but never one less than that. fishbreeder on here is one of the best southern regions fisheries biologists I know. He even has his own girls only pond with fish to 15+. Hopefully fb will reply on this thread. He may know all about that lake and strain of Florida LMB.
It was on a fishing show that's big in GA. a few weeks ago. It's a 30 acre lake that they killed then loaded with brim, shad and gold fish then stocked with only Florida females. They didn't say how big the stockers were but got to believe they would have been 4 to 6 in. girls to be able to sex them with some confidence. Maybe bigger. they stocked it 4-5 years ago. It's open to the public and you're allowed to keep one fish over 24inches (from what I saw them shock anything over 24 in. will be in the 11-13lb. range or bigger). At one point they had maybe 10 fish in the box and smallest was over 6, every one was as deep as it was long. The state puts a female in to replace any kept and some for normal lose to predation and illness. Those boys holding the fish look like the ones that where shocking and measuring during the show. Interesting idea and will be neat to see how long the place holds up. I've got a buddy in Kansas that wants to fish it and said he found it online by just googling "Panic Lake" The show was called Outdoors with O'Neill (O'neil Willams is an oldtime GA sportsman).

There ain't been a 10 pounder that looked like that in a Texas public lake since the original Lake Fork stockers were caught, J.P. Quit stirring the pot. My gosh what a gorgeous fish. Both confirmation and coloration.

What a chunk! Can't be more than 20-21". The fish in my sig pic was caught by my late friend Brennen Teel (bteel). It was barely over 10. He called it the "super monster bass". It too was a freak!

Duck hunter, Fish Killer makes fish look big because he's 5' 9" and kinda rangey for his height. The reason it looks bigger than five to me is because of the size of it's mouth, jaws and gills. I caught this one last week and it hit five on the nose on my scales. I just weighed a two pound dumbbell my wife has laying around the house and the scale said two pounds on the nose (not scientific, by any means, but I feel it let's me know my scale isn't off by too much). Here's my fish, for comparison, because I don't think it looks anything like FK's "five pounder"" I'm not calling him out, it's just confusing. Goes to show that pictures are deceiving (or he is pulling our legs and his fish was much bigger. Heck, I don't know.).
