I grew up with Harold Ensley (Kansas City), back in the 50s/60s. He made a very good fishing show, going all over, even into Canada. Then, one day, Dad and I were fishing Lake of the Ozarks and found him in a cordoned off cove catching fish like a tuna run. Then the diver surfaced...
My favorites have been Hank Parker and the Lindner family's shows.

So correct. I used to be a fan of Billy Dance because he always included some instruction and seemed to always land one giant each show.
He had me going for like 3 years. Then one day I realized, he only fishes stocked private ponds.
First u form habits, then they form u.

I've been stuck at home for a couple of months repairing my boat so I have watched a lot of the shows. I know what you mean. Roland Martin, pimps everything under the sun and is just annoying. It is funny when someone lips his fish for him and doesn't hand it to him right away. One week I thought he was going to shove him out of the boat trying to get hold of the fish. There is another, can't remember his name, that I watched recently. The entire show he gets all excited on every bite and squeals like a pig and every fish over 2 pounds is a tank.
I remember hearing a story awhile back about one that would push certain lures. Supposedly, he would hook one with one lure, then put a fish from the livewell on the pushed lure and splice it in as if he caught the fish on it.

Wow, I never watched the show Good Ole Boys, but watching Don Iovino really takes me back. I caught a ton of bass with his rhythm and blues worms. He taught a lot of techniques that I'd forgotten about for use on those clear and deep waters. He sold a little soldering Iron called a wormizer that was great for making your own baits. A lot of his stuff works here in Texas too. Everyone in California says he invented split shotting. But every eight year old kid I ever met knows how to do that just by instinct.

I watch Honey Hole ... easy on a SMart TV or Apple TV with Youtube. Great show.

I have Direct TV. I used to watch Honey Hole every time it came on. I just don't find it easy to watch anything for 30 minutes on a lap top.[/quote]

The body of water he fishes the most is his own. Is it stocked? I would think so. Does it get a lot of pressure? I doubt it.

The camera man is equally impressive, in the boat for the close up, off way out there for the long shot, and then back again. Magic.

That Barry Stokes show on Fox Sports is pretty good. He's been around a long time.
Cheers,

I will watch wicked tuna once in a while. As for all the other infomercials, I don't waste my time.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
