Hey all,
Got a project boat for christmas and I need to get it up and running. It's a tri-hull 1977 Invader Intruder. Thought someone had told me it has a Volvo Penta in it but I'm having trouble identifying it for sure since it's so old. Oil in it appears to be chocolate milky which I know isn't good. Hasn't cranked yet but I'm looking for suggestions as well on what I should change out, clean, inspect to help get it running. Also if anyone has some references online any links would be helpful.

It is an OMC inboard / outboard. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on the until you make sure the engine hasn't sustained any freeze damage. You can still find most of the parts for this set up.

2nd what Tommy said plus you can pull the spark plugs checking for rust. If you find rust on a sparkplug forget it.

Before you go too far check for parts availability on that critter. Most are no longer available.
