They'll take anything with hackle along with Rs2's during a BWO hatch. Especially the stockers. Glad you got one to whet the appetite.

Beavers Bend Fly Shop is close by and saves me on days like that. Very helpful folks and takes minutes to get in and out from fishing spot. I swear I can hardly ever catch them open. I hit 3 rivers Sat morning before we got into the park and tried both Monday morning without luck. The thing I like about 3 rivers is they post their hours and are generally always open on posted times, while the one in the park is always hit or miss with me.

They seem there every time I am there. (The lady does have to leave a bit to go to bathroom down in campgrounds.) I went to 3 Rivers after hearing the great reviews. They didn't have any of the flies I was needing (standard LMF flies) and alot of bins were empty. I walked away not spending anything. They didn't even chat with me. I went on home wishing I had gone back to BB Fly Shop. Their bins are full. The nice lady who owns it will tell you everything.

My experiences have been closer to TD's than BBT's. Linda King is always wonderfully nice every time I go in. Rob Woodruff, when behind the counter, always overflows with information.
I've always loved going into both shops. They both have taken care of things I've needed from time to time. I bought a really nice 4 weight Reddington rod on sale at 3 Rivers. It's one of my favorite rods.
Eddie does keep the fly bins stocked, and I have bought flies just about every visit. It is hit-or-miss finding them open. Both shops have also provided memories, too. People still refer to BBFS as 'Sid's'. I don't even want to think about how many years I have been buying flies there.
One of the best fishing trips I've ever had there was when a couple of guys and I hired Jessie King to guide us. He showed us places I had never fished. I still go to those places. They're never crowded, and I always catch fish.
