I had a hard enough time trying to figure out gas additives and types of oil to use, now this...!
Heck with it, I am going fishing...!!!

All I know is that I ran "my" Wal--Mart Ever Start Deep Cycle all day long at the Mad Dog on Saturday ( I even used the TM to go from the 154 Public Dock across to the North shoreline of Big Caney because it was too dark for me to run my big motor) & then ran it from 6am until noon on Lake Athens at variable speeds with my Terrova I-Pilot 55 12v and it was still putting out when I parked it Sunday. Now that is a TEST........ of a different kind. many thanks for your "on the water" test. I can run mine all day and they are still going strong at the end of the day. I did run them dead once when my motor broke down and I ran the trolling motor on high for 3 miles to get back to the ramp after fishing for 3 or 4 hours. They died on me about 50 yards from the ram, luckily the wind blew me to the ramp

The Peukert effect describes how a batteries capacity is directly affected by the speed at which it is discharged or in other words, the effect that different discharge rates will have on the available capacity of the battery. The Peukert value or exponent is directly related to the internal resistance of the battery. The higher the internal resistance, the higher the losses while charging and discharging, especially at higher currents. This means that the faster a battery is discharged, the lower its ampere hour capacity. Conversely, if it is drainedslower, the AH capacity is higher. For instance, a 100 AH battery (rated at the 20 hour rate) will deliver a steady 5 amp draw for 20 hoursbefore the battery voltage drops to 1.75 volts per cell. However, if discharged at a current of 100 amp, this same 100AH battery will only deliver approximately 47 total amp hours. This effect is what we refer to as thePeukert Effect and this effect can be described as a formula: Cp=I nt Cp = available battery capacity with a given discharge current I = the discharge current n = the peukert exponent = (Time 2 (T2) minus Time 1 (T1)) divided by (Current 1 (I1) Current 2 (I2)) t = discharge time in hours The Peukert formula for a batteries capacity at a given discharge current is: Cp = I n t, where Cp is the capacity available with any given discharge current; I = the discharge current; n = the Peukert exponent which is a result of Time (T2 minus T1) divided by Current (I1 minus I2) which can be determined by carrying out two discharge tests and measuring the time to 1.75vpc with each being at a different discharge current (I). Each test should be dramatically different in regards to the discharge current. One high and one low is best. http://www.discover-energy.com/what-peukert-effect

Interstate follows the BCI standards ratings you can go to the site and see that.
This little testing was done to show how the Peukert effect works on lead acid batteries and agm and not to much with Lithium

Interesting discussion!
Batteryman how do you feel about "Battery Desulfators"?
I bought one from Power Pulse a couple of years ago for my marine batteries & it seems to be working. I will leave it on a battery for a month and then move it to a different battery.
I have a cranking battery that I use every week that I bought in 2009 & it performs like new.

I like them they work on lead acid of flooded cell batteries good not on Lithium at all and Agm well no
