With the long weekend it was a good time to run the Walmart EverStart MAXX Group 29 battery.

They rate it 114Ah @ 1A discharge (which is a non-standard 114 hour test)

The results:
@ 5A rate (estimated 20 hr test) I measured 98.92Ah (or 19 hrs, 46 min, 56 sec subtracting for a 2 min and a 10 minute interruptions)
@ 25A (BCI RCT test) I measured 201 RC which is 83.66Ah
@ 43A (100% on the trolling motor) I measured 68.01Ah (or 1 hr, 34 min, 53 sec)

The watt-hours of the battery was 1,213 @ 5A, 997 @ 25A, and only 811 @ 43A.
It has a Peurkert value of 1.1040345160657756.

So what should the rating be if they followed the BCI standard?

I already have enough on my plate learning about rods, reels, lures, and fishing in general. Now I have to spend the little time I have learning the meaning of all that battery jargon?!?!?

All I know is that I ran "my" Wal--Mart Ever Start Deep Cycle all day long at the Mad Dog on Saturday ( I even used the TM to go from the 154 Public Dock across to the North shoreline of Big Caney because it was too dark for me to run my big motor) & then ran it from 6am until noon on Lake Athens at variable speeds with my Terrova I-Pilot 55 12v and it was still putting out when I parked it Sunday.
Now that is a TEST........
of a different kind.

Isn't the 5amp 20 hour test the one more commonly used to advertise the ah and the rc usually listed separately on the label? I'd have to look at some of my batteries to verify but ai think those are the two common ratings.
