To each their own, but for me I want to weigh, photo and release as fast as possible. There has been many instances where I have had to put the fish in the livewell and drive to a protected cove in order to get a weight to pop up. As mentioned by Rob these fish are better than 8 lbs and we are dealing with the typical wind here on Falcon. Like I mentioned in another thread, if I had a do over I would go another route.

The new clip really help with Fish moving its the same type clip as the MLF uses.

If you are looking for the best bang for the buck in a scale, get an Accucull at Tackle Warehouse. Extremely accurate and only $35. Mine was so accurate out of the box I was able to get it certified.

$200+ is a lot of pennies. I've owned one and not impressed. So have the many bad reviews on tackle warehouse. Save your money. I have a touch screen berkley and it's accurate enough. For culling, use a culling beam.
For $50 I'd consider buying one as they're as accurate as any other descent hand held.

The Berkley Digital Touch Screen scales reads dang near exactly as the Cull-m-Rite does I weigh fish on both all the time. To me the 59 dollar Berkley scale is just as good.

The difference between men & boys is the price of their toys.

My Cul-M-Rite would not lock in the weight no matter how little or big the fish and no wind on stable ground so I sent it in to be repaired with detailed instructions of what was happening and what I would like done. Cost me Fifty something dollars for them to replace the battery (that was already working I might add)and send the scale back with a new set of instructions with the scales feature to automatically lock in the weight manually whited out. So I have a $200 scale with a $50 "Fresher Battery" that sill will not lock in a weight no matter what. How's that for customer service.

I have owned 2 of sets of Cul m Rite scales and I will say one thing that interferes with them is cell phones. I was told this by the man who builds them, Grady I believe is his name. I didn't ask him to go into detail as to why, but once I made sure my cell wasn't in close proximity, I haven't had an issue.
As for customer service, I've had nothing but positive experiences. I thought mine were reading light so I stopped by Southwest Parts and he calibrated them for free and showed me they were off by less than 1/4 of an ounce, not bad considering I had them for over a year at the time.
This past March I was fishing a tourney and made a dumb mistake ad left them laying on my back deck and made about a 6 mile run and yep ,they gone!! So, I went to purchase a new set to replace mine that I carelessly lost and after I explained why I needed a new set and the owner gave me a substantial discount on my new set. To me that is a awesome customer service!!!
Also if you don't have the grippers on them you should get a set, the fish don't flop around and you don't have the issues with them not weighing as easily.
I am very happy with my Cul M Rite scales and with the customer service I have received....
