In moderate seas i was running 20/23mph... In smooth i was running right at 30mph... So far i have found top speed while full of fuel (150 gallons) and 4 ppl to be right at 44mph
This past weekend i averaged right at 2mpg

Chase-- if you ever need a deck hand who can cover gas, let me know. I grew up fishing the coast of Louisiana and had to re-learn how to fish 10 years ago when I moved here, so I'm sort of doing the opposite of you in terms of the learning curve of fishing.

Very nice ride. I missed mine the day I sold it. Biggest issue with an offshore boat is making the time to go use it. Looks like you picked a really nice size boat that can be used on both fresh and saltwater. Not sure where you are fishing out of on the coast but we really hammered the Blackfin tuna last weekend out of freeport. 50-65 miles out. Find a shrimp boat throw out some chum and hold on. Like taking candy from a baby.

Yes your right... I had to choose a boat that I could use both hybrids and offshore.
I go out of POC... I've found any BFT behind the shrimpers there but also havent hit any past 30 miles.. Thats on my list though.
How's RC been treating you?

Hit and miss on RC. Hybrids have been tough to find. Mainly been fishing for catfish. Caught 75+ Saturday before last. Nothing over 10 lbs but the kids enjoyed it.

I'd rather have 75 cats to take home then work all Day for 3-5 hybrids.... Good catch!
