I'm pulling an all nighter with a couple buddies. Do Largemouth bass even bite at night? What kind of lures should I use? Any special tips about night fishing? and also where do they go at night? Deep in water, heavy cover or what? Thanks Very Much

This time of year the bass bite a lot better at night especially on full moon nights. They move up a Lil shallower to feed also which makes them easier to catch. Texas rig worm is the way to go. I throw a V&M wildthang which has a lot of action in candybug and blue flex.

How do you work your texas rig when night fishing? Is it like a slow drag across the bottom or are you popping it or working it another way. I am kind of interested in taking a night fishing trip.

Bug spray, bug spray, bug spray. Bring lots of lights with you so you are highly visible on the water. Those lights that go on your head/cap are great for tying knots, etc. Slow Crig or slow Trig with big worms/big craws/big creatures. Colors don't matter as much at night (but lean toward darker colors), so use the ones you have excess. Sometimes the bite doesn't get good until 2am, so don't be discouraged if the bite isn't good earlier on. If you know of any underwater light areas, those areas can be good. Black spinner bait big colorado blade, slowly.

Due to my work schedule i mostly fish at night and catch pretty good numbers most of the time. I fish shallow < 10 feet with t rig and weightless flukes or senkos on the same main lake points with some sort of cover that you would during the day, just not as deep. Rip rap around bridges usually works pretty good too. Fish real slow and pick your area apart. Just my 2cents

Fishing at night can be challenging but very rewarding. Make sure you know the lake well enough first of all; safety first. Pretty much anything that works in the day works at night if you adjust your colors. However, I'll have these baits out on my deck the whole night: White crank, black/blue jig, black/chartreuse spinnerbait, 6" senko, giant worm, and Tx rigged plastics (a worm, craw, or creature bait; black/blue). don't forget your topwater rod, either. Don't be afraid to try green pumpkin and watermelon colors at night too, especially if the water is clear. PM for more details

1. Slow down your retrieve with any lure - especially soft plastics. 2. Use dark (black, black/blue, brown) soft plastics when it's dark; under full moon, use slightly lighter colors (blue, grape) 3. Slow down your retrieve. 4. Get a red lens to cover your "normal" flashlight lens; red light won't affect your night vision. 5. Wear your PFD at all times!!!!! 6. Fish cover: laydown logs, brush, etc. 7. Fish structure: dropoffs, ledges, etc. 8. Use a net. 9. Concentrate on feeling the bite. 10. Slow down your retrieve.
