I have seen their 7 piece stow away 7wt fly rod bring in a 10 pound steelhead without snapping. The guy was bass fishing and hooked in to a steelhead and he brought it in pretty quick too. This was when they were still full of energy before spawning. Cabela's blanks are great and probably made by some major brand and then slapped their logo on it. I use to have their boot foot neoprene waders for 8 years and they never ever leaked. I fished in the winter up north on a regular basis and put them through hell. Great stuff at Cabela's and a lot better than Bass Pro's brand.

For gear in general I have a stocking foot breathable set of waders cabelas brand. they just started leaking this last year and i have put them under the hardest trial imaginable briers, crawling through thickets creeping up on wary trout. they have several hundred days on them over the last five years I am finally replacing them this year but I got my moneys worth. I realize this is an old thread but may be of use on the next sale.
