I searched and couldn't really find anything. Cabela's is having a big sale right now, especially fly equipment. I've been looking to get a decent first setup for a while. Would Cabela's brand be alright to get? If so, any recommendations on which one?

I have been completely satisfied with my purchases at Cabelas. They have been great with their customer support as well.

I have the Cabelas Wind River 9 ft 5 wt combo. This is the first of cabelas fly rods and reels that I have purchased, however just like all their name brand I am very pleased with the quality. Have had only one problem with an item purchased and it was replaced ASAP.
I think you will be pleased with their products

I'm happy with my Cabela's fly rod. My buddy has two very expensive fly rods and the only thing that he doesn't like about mine is the fly line.

Nothing wrong with the Cabela's brand. I have the Three Forks and Stow Away 6, love them both.

I have a Cabela's rod and I am happy with its performance, especially at the low cost of it.

I have a 5w and 3w setup from Cabela's and like them both very much. They were both reasonably priced. I have only fished with the 5w so far, but it worked very well in the stream I was fishing - I actually caught a trout with it. Can't wait to try out the 3w. I would definitely recommend Cabela's equipment.

if you have a fly shop close to you try and support them. TFO makes great rods withought the huge price tags an everything they make is life time warranty.

Just bought the Cablea's RLS combo in 4 piece 4 weight and am very pleased with it so far. Right now on sale from $ 319.00 to $ 159.00. I dont think you can beat that price for a really nice set up with backing, WF fly line, really nice protective case, etc...
Great price for this rig and am very pleased so far.

I like the RLS reels, just clean them well after the salt.
It's more than the catfish would do.

I've got 6wt and 8wt three forks rods from cabela's that I've had for around five years. No problems with them at all. The 8wt is one of the combos that has the Prestige Plus III reel and line already spooled on.
