All this is good information and your right BUT, will boat dealers/sellers allow you to take a boat out and do all these things/ i.e., trolling etc. ??? God Bless Nobody can decide but yourself
You need to put some time on the water in each model and see what you like and dislike about them Rougher water day the better. Run it and then find a quiet cove to drop the trolling motor and drive around in Walk the entire boat to see how acts when weight is shifting around Go through the controls othe live wells and see what you like and did like with each one
Then you can see which ones and what parts stand out to you Yes they will And they better if they want to make a sale I know there is a dealer that I asked about talking a boat out for a test drive and they told me no. I walked out and refuse to buy anything from them ever. I'd rather drive 3-4 hours away to buy the boat I want than go back to them.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Dealers have demo boats/personnel to give you rides /let you drive. It's crazy to think they would pull a boat off a showroom floor, oil and gas it up, and let someone go "use" it. Come on guys, common sense please! Set up a demo ride with all 3 and make your choice

Can't fish a tournament out of a paddle boat. Did you ever stop to wander why there are so many skeeters with that japanese motor up for aale in tthe first place? Probably because there are so many more new Skeeters sold each year compared to the other two. You have a brand made in Texas with many of the biggest selling dealers in the country located here is common sense you should see more up for resale.

My pick would be Basscat, out of those 3, but my personal choice would be Ranger...

Anytime anybody in the area I am in needs a test ride or drive in a Skeeter, just give me a shout.

I've got my wife talked into a brand new used boat lol. I've fished out of bass cats most of my life. They great all around boats. Its just hard to find a good selection of used ones. Phoenix is right up there with basscat if not better in some ways. Then there's skeeter well built and super available. Its tough making a choice when it's gunna be about a 10 year commitment. I wanna hear some thoughts, pros, cons....
Ranger guys no offense but don't bother. I'll fish a tournament out of a paddle boat first Just me here. I have fished in many and all top of the line boats are good. With each having it's advantages. I do a lot of flipping and this is one of the reason I cherish my Skeeter. The deck is up to nearly the top of the gunnel wall. Plus I am a shallow water fisherman and it will really get shallow. Just some consideration if this an area of your expertise.

I know nothing about the Phoenix so I can't comment on them. Skeeters are very popular. I would take the Basscat. It has been around for years. It is a very solid boat and they use quality materials like the carpet and the seats seem to last a long time if taken care of.

all are good brands that will be around for a long time. Get in them all and see which suits you best.. No matter which you pick, it will be somebody else's favorite and another's least favorite...

i have owned a skeeter, and a basscat puma, and now own a phoenix 921, and hands down the phoenix is IMO the best ride and fish ability there is. My dad has a new puma, and after fishing a couple tourneys out of the phoenix, he wants to sell and get him one, and my dad is a very picky man. The 921 isnt as fast as a cat, but with full tourney load 2 people and live wells full still running almost 75 isnt to bad....test drive them all, and climb in and out of all them and look very closely at all the lil things!

I live in Orange as well and have a 2014 FX20 that you are welcome to come take a look at....PM me for details you have to be the one that is happy with the boat, take a ride in or fish in any of the boats you are thinking about buying before making your decision, all 3 of those boats are great, but 1 may fit your style of fishing better than the next guys.
