DATE: Thursday April 17th, 2014 LOCATION: Canyon Lake Marina TIME: 6:30pm - 10:00pm ENTRY: $40/team It's a full moon this week and there were several fish in a pre-spawn pattern last week. Water temp was only 63-64 degrees mid lake, so it should be a full on orgy out there Thursday. Most of the fish brought to the scales last week were small mouth. If smallmouth is your thing, tie on a topwater and go to town! This will be the last Thursday Nighter on Canyon for the foreseeable future. We will be moving these to Dunlap on the 24th. It will be a seamless transition and everything stays the same and transfers over (sponsorship's, guaranteed money, etc..) The only difference being the body of water and the size of fish brought to the scales. Angler Profiles have been updated http://www.canyonthursdaynighters.com/#!angler-profiles/c15kj THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS THAT PAY BACK TO THE THURSDAY NIGHTER ANGLERS The Canyon Thursday Nighters are Skeeter sanctioned events along with the TTZ LAKE AUSTIN WED NIGHT TOURNAMENTS (who paid out $10,000 in Skeeter Real money last year and already $1000 this year) giving you twice the chance to cash in on some Skeeter Real money every week. If you own a Skeeter be sure to sign up for the Skeeter Real Money program. http://www.skeeterboats.com/events/real_money/

We'll have the end of the year tournament when school is back in and and the first cold front blows through like we did last year. Sometime in late September.
Look forward to seeing you out there. I think you and I will have better luck on Dunlap, it sure in the hell cant get any worse.

I know last Thursday was brutal on me, a 18 foot boat and a twelve volt trolling motor with Gail force winds is not the best mix, It looks like it will be a little calmer this Thursday and I sure feel like I will have a better showing, This past Sunday I caught black a little over 6 and two more large small mouth.
You guys really have done a great job with the Thursday night events and turned it into something very cool, I hate to see it leave canyon but I am sure I am the only one, I love fishing Canyon Lake, I also like fishing Dunlap as well, It is a awesome little lake.I really like fishing Dunlap for the fun of it vs Tournaments. Simply because the size of lake which is small, everything is just so confined with all the pleasure boaters and all on top of you. Like I said that's just me, you guys have done a great job with it and I am sure it will work out good for you also on the move. I have actually planned a vacation day tomorrow and based on work if I can take it, I was going to fish Dunlap all Day and then load the boat and head to Canyon for the tournament. Best of luck on the move and continued success.

Don, We are going to run them differently than any other tournament previously on Dunlap. We'll be running them out of Riverbend Park. This shall open things up and make things a lot safer. You can catch fish from dam to dam. Once people start figuring this out, the lake will fish a lot bigger. We arent done yet. We will continue to improve these events and have a couple of things in the works to make them impossible not to come out and fish. Here is the thread with the announcement. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt..._Du#Post9912357

We'll I was going to start fishing these events but not since moving them to Dulnlap. Too small and way too much jack wagons on the water there
