Bastro - Looks like a Tulip tree, but I really can't see the leaves very well and I could be wrong since I haven't seen one in bloom.

No, I know what a tulip tree looks like .. Tulip trees lose their leaves during winter and bloom before new leaves sprout or have just starter to sprout. This tree keeps its leaves all winter. The leaves will fold together at nite.

Looks like a Empress Tree, or also known as the Royal Paulownia tree. It is one of the fastest growing trees around. Try google to find out more. SF X
