Thanks for your concern.
Sorry, I have been a little down and have not been online. I have been on house arrest the last few days, when I had planned on fishing the days before the surgery.
When I went to pre-op it was requested I stay at home until after the surgery. It seems as if there was some concern that I might catch a virus before the surgery. It's been almost two months since my heart surgeries but there is still concerned that I might still be weakened from that.
So no fishing, no going to the store, etc., until after I have the surgery Monday.
When I see the doctor Monday for the surgery I will ask when I can become more active but the nurse thought it would be at least a couple of weeks, after I have had some physical therapy with the foot. It might be as long as another two months.
I know two months more isn't that long but breaking the bones in the foot after the heart surgery has been depressing. I felt great after the heart surgery and was looking forward to resuming activity in three weeks. Then to have a foot injury the first day home and be sidelined for another four months has been hard to accept.
Especially since my heart doctors released me to normal activity three weeks after the surgery. The only restriction I have from the heart surgery is no lifting of anything greater than ten pounds until June. All the other restrictions are from the foot injury.

Thank you. I'm sure it will. He just needs to straighten out the five bones I broke in the foot and pin them so the foot will heal straight.
It will just take time to heal, for something that should not have happened.

I appreciate all the well wishes and prayers. I am sure I will not have any problems other than my frustration with it taking so long to fish again. It would not have bother me as much had I required this much time off due to my heart surgery. But four months downtime for a injured foot? A foot I should not have injured. I guess I will be doing a lot of night fishing under green lights this summer to make up for the lost time.

Especially since my heart doctors released me to normal activity three weeks after the surgery. The only restriction I have from the heart surgery is no lifting of anything greater than ten pounds until June. All the other restrictions are from the foot injury. I hate to hear the bad news about your foot. Staying inside while waiting to go under the knife is never fun...Just get on the TV and put in those CDs of Infisherman, Roland Martin, or Bill Dance, get you glass of tea and take it easy. A foot is a terrible thing to rehab from...but you focus on getting it fixed and healed...we will focus on keeping your spirits up! Incidentally, I bet I can captain that toon whenever ole doc gives you the go ahead...

Having foot surgery is NOT fun. I have been through that before, it's awful because you have to hobble around. I am allergic to the anesthesia, I am sick until it wears off, that really stinks.
